Glimpse the Future
As we meditate on the things of God during this holiday season a question that might come up
is; what will life in His kingdom be like? What activities will you and I be called to? Will His holidays be part of our future
or just reminders of the past? I would like to share a couple of verses with you that will provide an answer.
Zech 14:16-17 It shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations
which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of
Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King,
the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. NKJV
Zechariah
definitely shows the Feast of Tabernacles being a regular part of The Lord's calendar and our future! Isiah, under the
inspiration of the Holy Spirit; foretells this...
Isa 66:22-23 "For
as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me," says the Lord, "So shall your descendants
and your name remain. And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh
shall come to worship before Me," says the Lord. NKJV God tells us His holidays are rehearsals. His kingdom is unlike what we have known in the past. Through His
holidays He extends the blessing of learning about and participating in kingdom activities!
