The eleventh month began with the sighting of the first sliver high above the Rocky Mountains on January 27th,2009 at 5:47 PM. The night was clear and the moon remained visable for an hour and thirty minutes after sunset. The sliver was also sighted in Isreal by Mr Nehemia Gordon and others.
